Peerick reimagined
A refreshing collection
What makes Peerick wines unique is our story. We have a deep connection and respect for the ancient and fragile country from which our wines are derived. It permeates everything we do from our viticultural practices to our wine making.
We are totally committed to maintaining a rich, healthy, sustainable and diverse eco-system for our vines to thrive in, which in turn is reflected in the quality of our wines.

Our grapes
We have over 18,000 vines in total, producing around 54 tonnes of fruit annually. Grapes are picked from 2nd week of March. Some fruit is sold off with the majority made into wine expansion.

Vineyard production
The vineyard is well established with uniform growth and consistent yields. Major inputs utilised in our production cycle include hand-pruning, hand-picking & the use of the extensive irrigation infrastructure when required. The vineyard is irrigated from 3 dams (located on site). These are fed from natural rainfall flowing in from the State Forest on the property’s Western boundary. Insecticide and fungicide applications are kept to a minimum and applied as preventative applications. While not organically certified we abide by organic practices and the use of certified products.

Our awards
In the 12 months following the relaunch of the brand onto the market, Peerick has already picked up a number of coveted awards. This culminated in Peerick being named 2019 Australian Sauvignon Blanc Winery of the Year in Hong Kong at the Asian International Wine Competition. While still young and yet to mature, our red wines are already being recognised for their potential. The recent launch of our Two Nurses, Viognier and flagship “Bordeaux” blend, The MANG, are expected to continue this trend and help re-establish Peerick as one of the great Pyrenees wineries.

Our barrels
When using oak, we use only the very best European and American oak barrels, carefully combined to provide elegance and sophistication.
The Peerick label
The Dja Dja Wurrung’s traditions, beliefs and dreamtime stories are proudly revealed through our wine label artwork.
At the centre of which is the triskele (symbolising our vineyard), representing fertility and evoking the three realms of earth, water and sky from our Celtic culture. The four pathways leading out represent the water from middle creek, with the symbols inside showing the community and its people, travelling through the region to taste its fine wine and food offerings. At the end of each path are four circles portraying our family. Each of these components sitting on a backdrop of brushstrokes that embody the paint that the Dja Dja Wurrung use for ceremonies central to their creation stories.

Brand Development
The branding was inspired by and incorporates unique artwork, with each varietal featuring a different colouration of the full artwork by Dja Dja Wurrung artist Gary Saunders. The brand mark features a modified triskele designed by Gary, as well as brand accents from his work.
